Primary Research Computing Cluster

The Phoenix cluster is our largest computational resource. It comprises more than 1,300 compute nodes, including compute nodes with GPUs and nodes with a large amount of memory.
All GT/GTRI faculty (academic and research) can apply for a free-tier account for their research, which is equivalent to 10,000 CPU-hours per month and 1 TB of storage.
Additional compute and storage credits can be purchased if needed.
Phoenix runs the SLURM scheduler, and a large software stack is supported. It is accessible through a terminal and through a web browser interface called OpenOnDemand.
