Shared Group Storage
Shared group storage with a default quota is provided on all of PACE’s research-focused High Performance Computing Clusters.
This table provides an overview of the default shared group storage provided on the Phoenix, Hive, and Firebird clusters:
High Performance Computing Cluster | Default Shared Group Storage |
---|---|
Phoenix ↳ General Research Computing Cluster | The free-tier account on Phoenix includes 1 TB of free project storage. This space is: • backed up daily • can be shared with students and collaborators of the Principal Investigator |
Hive ↳ Computing for Specific Research Domains | 50 TB shared group storage is provided for each research group. |
Firebird ↳ CUI/ITAR Secure Computing Cluster | 20 TBs of storage is provided for each research project. This storage space is provided in isolated area from other research groups to ensure security compliance. |
Need Additional Storage?
A PI can always purchase storage to add to the default group storage allocation. Current price per TB per month information is available here.
Additionally, a low-cost storage option called CEDAR is available to researchers that do not need to access data on a high-performance parallel file system.
